Point Fermin Lighthouse: A San Pedro Landmark
Historical Restoration Painting
The historic Point Fermin Lighthouse in San Pedro, CA was erected in 1874, and is one of three surviving examples of Victorian Stick Style lighthouse design. The building is a showcase of the architectural motifs found in early Victorian structures: gabled roofs, carved porch railings and decorative cross beams.
We worked with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, and the site's managers, to develop a painting scheme that was appropriate for the historic structure. Once our client was satisfied with our plan of action, we gave the Point Fermin Lighthouse a fresh look that is faithful to the way the lighthouse appeared when it was first constructed over a hundred years ago.
