Mosaic tile decorative floor coatings use embedded chips of paint to achieve a pleasing result without the cost of tile. Since mosaic tile starts with a high performance epoxy resin for a base coat, this type of decorative floor coating can take whatever your facility traffic can dish out. The paint chips are further coated with a top coat of polyurethane or clear epoxy, depending on the performance characteristics desired.
Colored quartz decorative floor finishes replace the chips of paint found in mosaic tile with grains of colored quartz. The addition of quartz brings depth to the floor finish, while the epoxy and urethane top coats are tough and long lasting.
