The Wilshire Landmark parking garage was in need of a traffic deck coating refresh due to years of heavy wear and tear in this busy office building. Raider worked with the client to provide a coating solution that could be applied in a manner that would minimize downtime for the tenants and visitors. First we prepped the 26,000 square foot substrate by power washing with a biodegradable cleaner and mechanically scrubbing to remove contaminants that would affect adhesion of the coating system. We applied a Neogard primer to the entire surface, and Neogard FC7500/FC7960 polyurethane coating to approx. 8,000 square feet of surface that required waterproofing. Next, a wear coat of Neogard FC7510/FC7961 polyurethane coating along with a broadcast aggregate was applied to provide an anti-skid surface. Then an additional coating as a final top coat over the aggregate. Finally, we applied parking lot striping and stenciling to the parking stalls, directional markings, and pedestrian walkways.
